As a property owner within the three villages of Shanty Creek Resorts, there are many facets of the resort to be kept aware of: HOA meetings, first chair of the ski season, date night dining specials, and the advantages of our rental management program to name a few.
Staying involved and informed allows you to make the most of your investment, and the intrinsic value of your leisure time. Here, we will share news and information including annual meeting dates, important contact information, and ways to get push notifications so you’ll never miss a tidbit of important SCR information.
Another way to stay aware is to be sure our Marketing Department has your personal email. We send our owners a weekly email to be sure you never miss what’s happening at SCR. You can add your email to our list by sending us an email at CHale@shantycreek.com.
Annual Association Meeting Dates
The 2016 meetings were held the weekend of September 22-23. If you missed your HOA/POA meeting, contact your Board for meeting minutes. Information about the 2017 meetings will be shared here once dates are known.
Reminder to You and Your Visitors
Please be courteous of your neighbors when you have multiple vehicles visiting your unit. Each unit is allocated two parking spaces, and where indicated, all other vehicles should be parked in the overflow parking areas.
In addition, all trailers, RVs, boats, and other non-passenger vehicles should be parked in the overflow parking area located on Shanty Creek Road adjacent to the Clark Farm. If you are allowing others to use your unit, please inform them of this procedure.
Policies and Procedures
If your unit is on our Rental Management Program, please remember that lodging fills up quickly, especially over holidays, on winter weekends, and popular summer vacation time frames. Keep in mind that we may have opportunity to reserve your unit up to five years in advance given the time frame conferences and other group events might be scheduled. It’s important to let us know as soon as possible if you intend to use your unit during known high-demand times to ensure the availability of your unit.
Owners’ Portal: All reservations can be made online or through the Rental Management office at 231.533.3096. As always, please let us know at your earliest convenience and we will do our best to provide best-in-class service.
Please remember to check where best to check in.
- For Summit Village units, check in at the Lakeview Hotel Front Desk.
- For Cedar River or Schuss Village units, check in at the front desk of The Lodge at Cedar River during the summer season. In winter, the Schuss front desk is available for check-in for Schuss Village units.
Checking in allows all departments to view the status of your lodging unit and keeps everyone in correct communication regarding you and your guests.
If you notice that your unit looks unoccupied while in the area, please call Owner Services before entering the unit for any reason. If you are interested in renting it for personal use, we can also make last minute reservations for you if there are no arrivals expected.

Dues are billed monthly by your association, and are to be paid directly to your association, or as directed by your HOA/POA’s terms. All monies are kept in the association accounts and are used to pay the association expenses.
Dues do not include furniture reserves or housekeeping fees. When sending payment, please note your unit number and association to which you belong. Dues are reviewed annually and adjusted accordingly by your association’s board of directors. Association billing is generated from Shanty Creek’s accounting office. Inquiries can be directed to Pam Nash in the Accounting Department by calling 231.533.3000 x7570.
Expenses: Maintenance and Other
The Shanty Creek accounting department has secured a way, for your convenience, to include details of each charge submitted towards your unit. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Rental Management office for additional information. We hope this added detail will eliminate uncertainty and help you track your unit’s expenses.
Mountain Creek Club
Membership does indeed have its benefits. We have membership levels to fit your needs: seasonal or annual, individual or family, golf or ski.
