Outdoor Excitement

• Horse-drawn Sleigh Rides:  Bundle up for an unforgettable horse-drawn sleigh ride through the north woods. Rides depend on adequate snow cover and weather. Rides cost $10 per rider, ages 3 & under Free (if child sits on adults lap). To insure availability make your reservation with the Schuss Front desk at extension 3690 no later than noon on the day you would like to ride.
• Bon Fire and S’more making:  Looking for S'more fun during your getaway? Cozy up around the roaring fire at Schuss Village with friends and family. S'more kits will be available for purchase at the Schuss Front Desk.  Saturdays beginning at 8pm.
• Saturday Sledding Party:  Join us for good old fashioned family fun. Sleds and hot chocolate are provided in the Summit Lobby.  Saturdays at 5pm
• Moonlight Snowshoe Hike:  New this Year!  Go for a guided stroll through the Northern Michigan hardwoods by snowshoe. Meet at the Schuss Snow sports building.  $8 per person.  Weather dependant. 
• Pools:  Jump in! Indoor pools are available at Schuss Village and Summit Village. Take a dip in our heated outdoor pool at Schuss Village.
• Find Gandy Scavenger Hunt:  New this year!  Go on a scavenger hunt to find our beloved Gandy Goose!  Meet in the Schuss Lobby at 4pm.  Using a hand-held GPS receiver, navigate your way 4,500 acres to points around the resort.
• Dog Sled Rides:  New this winter:  Dog Sled Rides!  Offered Saturdays from 4-6pm.  Rides take place on the scenic trails at Schuss Village.  Each ride lasts approximately 15 minutes.  Each ride typically accommodates rides under 150 pounds.  $20 per ride.  Reservations can be made through the Schuss front desk. 

Indoor Fun

• Friday Night Welcome Reception:  Shanty Creek welcomes your family to our resort with Friday Night Fun. Join Ms Tiyi in the lobby beginning at 6pm for songs and stories.  Our resort mascot, Gandy Goose will also be there. 
• Friday Night at the Movies:  After a long day on the slopes, bring your family to Friday Night at the Movies and relax at our family movie night.   Rated G or PG family friendly movies.  Movies begin at 8pm. 
•  Après Ski:  Join Shanty Creek's resident magician/musician Lee Malone. Lee serves up magic, music and fun at Ivan's at Schuss Village. Come in off the slopes to sit back and relax as your kids take the stage with Lee. He'll have them doing the limbo or playing air guitar wearing a funny hat in no time!
• Games:  Video arcade games are located near the indoor pool at Summit Village and at Ivan's at Schuss Village. Pool tables are located at Ivan's in Schuss Village.
