If your organization is state tax exempt, you must submit a completed IRS 3372 form prior to arrival.

Be sure to note the name of the person on the lodging reservation associated with this form in your email or fax.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: TIPS FOR MAKING A SUCCESSFUL RESERVATION

• When booking multiple rooms for one organization, please supply the first and last names of each guest using the “Special Requests” dialogue box.

 

• Let us know if the guests you are sending will have the credit card used at the time of booking, we discourage the use of credit card authorization forms over email.

 

• Credit card used at the time of booking will be authorized for any unpaid room charges and incidentals unless specified. Incidental authorization is an additional $50/reservation at check in. If incidentals are not covered it’s best if room charges are paid in full prior to arrival.

• A personal credit card is required at check in if incidentals are the responsibility of the guest.

Non-Smoking Policy
PLEASE NOTE: Shanty Creek Resorts is a non-smoking property. Due to the high cost of maintaining a smoke-free environment within a guest room, a cleaning fee of $200 will be added to your account should it be found an individual or individuals have smoked in a non-smoking room associated with this confirmation.

Guaranteeing Your Reservation
We do require a credit card deposit equal to first night's lodging to guarantee your reservation with us. This deposit will be charged to your credit or debit card upon completion of your booking. Deposits are applied to the last night of a confirmed stay. Note: Winter holidays (December 26th - January 2nd) require a second deposit equal to the difference between the first night's rate and 50% of the total rate for the stay will be due by December 1st.

Shanty Creek Resorts Debit Card Advisory
We gladly accept your use of a debit card for transactions at this Resort. If a debit card is used your account will be debited at check in/booking for the projected total amount of room and tax plus approximately $50 per day for incidentals.

These funds will not be available for use from your bank account. If you check out earlier than expected or should you pay your charges by other means, the unused amount will be released from your debit card. However, depending on the processor and your bank's procedures, it could take up to 10 days for the unused amount to be credited back to your account.

The Resort cannot be responsible for any returned check fees associated with your bank account.

Rates
Rates are based on the age and the number of occupants per room. Guest information will be confirmed at check-in and the rate will be adjusted accordingly.

Cancellations, Changes, and/or Early Departures
Reservations with the rate of WEBRATE are NON REFUNDABLE otherwise if you need to cancel or change the dates of your reservation please notify Shanty Creek Resorts Reservation Office no less than 5 days prior to the confirmed arrival date as shown above to avoid any penalties. Penalty charges equal to first night's room rate/package rate. A $10.00 handling fee applies for all cancellations occurring more than 5 days before the above confirmed arrival date. Reservations during December 26th - January 2nd require a 14 day cancellation notice.

Specific Lodging Requests
Shanty Creek Resorts gladly accepts requests for specific room locations, and bedding types. Every effort to provide the requests will be made by the staff, however, requests are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. Requests can only be confirmed at the time of arrival.

Resort Fees and Taxes
In response to our guest requests to simplify billing and offer exciting services for all registered guests to enjoy while visiting, a 9% daily resort fee is charged. This fee provides services and entrances to the Fitness Center, pools, village shuttle service, daily (M-F) paper, concierge services, wireless internet access, limited activity department programs and many other services. State tax is currently 6% and our Tourism Assessment is 5% and may change without notice. Individuals requesting tax exempt status must provide a copy of a valid exempt form along with payment using the tax exempt organization's credit card.

Check-in and Check-out Times
Check in time begins at 5:00 PM or as rooms become available thereafter. Individuals arriving early may be accommodated for an early check-in providing the confirmed room type is both clean and vacant at the time of arrival. If arriving early and your confirmed room is not available the resort's Bell Service will happily secure your luggage.

Check out time is prior to 12:00 PM. If a meeting, event or leisure activity will postpone departure past checkout time, the resort's Bell Service can secure your luggage. Late departure arrangements may be possible. Please call the Front Desk on the day of check out for rates and availability. Guests may use the Fitness Center locker room to change clothes or freshen up.
